Model Rhino 'shaded wireframe' screen shot from model creation the knot's basic geometry was used for its reconstruction in Rhino, simplifying its manipulation. the shank and knot were exported separately after the model was finished ; both pieces machined using the same parameters to insure the rough castings fit together.
