Modeling notes
- A rather convoluted technique to build a model for milling with a rotary axis replacing a linear Y
- Fore ground rendering shows the original model
- In the back is render of model used to generate toolpaths
The hex nut and electrode were unrolled from the round version
and the threads and insulator reconstructed using the original curves
with the new surfaces being angled and skewed to the proper orientations
- A supporting structure was also added at the electrode end.
- The piece was then milled, only minor thouch up work on the seam and undercuts at the tip left as hand work.
