Complete composite model
- Knot first created with Knots3D using custom knot option, exported as surface mesh
- Ring modeled in Rhino around imported knot mesh. The knot mesh was scaled to fit and the model was created to fit, a give and take to reach a nice compromise.
- Ring machined from flat model utilizing a rotary axis, ring shaped model (showing an assortment of bad modeling artefects) is just for visualization.
