Presenting a partial selection of some of my work.
Much of this work is still available as shown, or can be re-created from files in the correct proportions for your size. Anything for which the design has been sold are presented for ideas, and technical reference only. There are also gaps in the timeline, custom work where I did not own the rights and could not secure permission to show the work here.
Any of the ideas can be used as a starting point for new designs. The process of designing with a computer allows the easy exploration of many variations before committing to a finished piece. The
further development of an idea continues this theme and builds on the knowledge gained with the first piece.
Even the pieces which I consider amongst my best can be improved with hind sight. If you see something of interest email me.
Also explored are some of my approaches to milling waxes.
Usually on my models I can plan the milling strategy while designing, but sometimes there are surprises. Milling waxes from client models can offer very interesting challenges. Some times the model dictates a new approach to machining, other times the order is reversed and a new design results from a novel milling technique or hardware upgrade on the mill. And every upgrade offers new possibilities for previous techniques.
(these pieces are roughly in reverse chronological order, most recent loading
first and oldest eventually...
Some explanations of the technical details build on concepts explained with earlier work, the record of a learning curve. I've probably over looked lots of details, any questions just email) I have received much help over the years from people I only know by their email addresses, it's my time to return the help.
