The Music Ministry at Waterbury Center Community Church is directed by Dan Krymkowski.  In addition to accompanying hymns and the choir during the service, Dan provides music for the prelude, offertory, and postlude. (The church has an upright piano and a relatively new, two-manual Ahlborn-Galanti electronic organ.)  Dan also accompanies hymns and his own vocals on occasion using his Yamaha keyboard.

Dan has been a sociology professor at UVM for over two decades and pursues music as an avocation. Over the years he has studied the organ with John Harvey, Bill Gervais, Bruce Bengtson, and, most recently, with the late UVM Emeritus Professor of Music Jim Chapman. He has also sung in choirs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (with Lawrence Doebler and Robert Fountain), Dartmouth College, and the University of Vermont.

There are about eight people in our choir, and we are always looking for more singers! Rehearsals are on Sunday mornings from 9:45 to 10:30 between September and May. We perform a variety of music, from Bach chorales to spirituals and more modern anthems, from unison pieces to four part harmony. Our dual goals are to have fun and praise God with quality music. Feel free to join us! For more information, e-mail Dan at dkrym@gmavt.net.
