Help with fundraising.
Our annual coin drop raises a large proportion of the budget for the parade and fireworks. Helpers need to be 18 years of age. This year we will be holding out buckets for motorists on Saturday June 18th. Other ideas for fundraising are always welcome. We are looking for a few clowns to walk in the parade and pass the hat there also with the idea that we may be able to raise enough money then to eliminate the coin drop in future years. Any help with finding items for the auction would be appreciated also. Note: Other than increased Police hours during the event, no public money is spent on Richmond’s 4th of July. Please help keep this tradition financially sound with your support.
Be part of the parade.
We love FLOATS! Think creatively and put an entry in this years lineup. Fame and fortune could be yours if you win a prize. If you are feeling like you don’t want to miss the parade, you will still get to see ALL the floats at the lineup at Harringtons and being in the parade, passing by a whole town full of people, is a great experience.
Lots to do on the big day.
Help cook fries, fried dough, flip burgers, barbeque chicken, help at the auction or bingo. Sharing your time on the fourth really helps make this the premier community event in Richmond. Other than the flea market, the Richmond 4th of July is a volunteer event by and for the community. All our town organizations can use your help (on the 4th and throughout the year). Join in and help keep Richmond the great town it is.
Clean-
We will be picking up the park on the 5th starting at 8:30 AM. Help is needed putting away tents, tables & chairs, and picking up litter.
