FUNDRAISING

The Richmond 4th of July is funded completely through our events and the generosity of local residents and businesses. The Parade & Fireworks committee receives no tax dollars other than the use of some office supplies and the generous help of the highway and police department for event related functions.

Our primary fund raisers for the event are:

• 50-50 raffle at town meeting
• Annual Coin Drop at the 4 corners in June
• The Goods & Services Auction on the 4th
• Sales of Fries, Fried Dough, and cold drinks on the 4th
• Sales of light sticks during the Fireworks and on Halloween

We appreciate the support and participation of the local businesses that contribute to the event either through sponsoring bands, activities, displays and more.  

Many hands make for light work.  

The committee is always looking for more participants.  Some of our members have been organizing the event for upwards of 20 years and would surely appreciate new people to help carry the load.  Please offer some time, or other resources, to help continue the day as Richmond’s primary community event!
