Do you have something to show? Shiny or Antique?
Participating vehicles should be a car, truck, motorcycle or tractor that is:
• Special in some way (old, shiny, customized, etc.)
• Light enough to drive on the playing fields and not damage them.
• The idea is to visit with other enthusiasts, have fun, and show off something (almost anything) you have put some work into, are proud of, and you think other people will be interested in seeing.
Time and Place:
• Show runs from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. (Parade ends at 11:30ish, then the park fills with visitors)
• Vehicles will be parked at the far end of the Volunteers Green.
• Vehicles can enter from 9:00 to 10:30 or after the parade, and should be removed by 5:00.
• Enter on Esplanade St. (not the Park entrance). Go to the end and turn left, you will be directed to the show parking area. (There will be room for trailers nearby.)
What about the Parade?
• Vehicles in the parade may turn onto Esplanade St. when they reach it, or can go to the end of the parade route (Round Church) and return as soon as the parade ends.
• All vehicles that are planning to drive in the parade should fill out and return a parade form, available at the Richmond Town Clerks office.
• If you are not driving in the parade, you need to plan to arrive before 10:25am or after 11:30ish.
Help us get invited back next year.
• Loud pipes and engines may not be operated unless vehicle is being moved.
• People or vehicles making a nuisance or disturbance will be asked to leave.
• No alcohol is allowed in the park. Dogs are discouraged but if brought must be leashed.
• Vehicle owners will be held responsible for field damage arising from spinning wheels/bad behavior.
It’s not strictly required, but….
• Please let us know (contact info below) if you are planning to attend and what vehicle you will be bringing so we can plan appropriately. There is no fee (but there will be no trophies either).
• Plan to stick around, swap stories, and tell folks what’s special about your ride.
• Like everything about the Richmond 4th of July Celebration, this is a volunteer effort, please help out if you can.
The Richmond Parade Committee, O’Briens Auto, & Blackfork Emergency Services make no representations regarding liability during the event. All entrants are on their own insurance and are responsible for the care and safety of their own vehicles.
